JOB TITLE: Business Manager

REPORTS TO: The Managing Directo, Board of Directors

LOCATION: Lagos

JOB LEVEL: Manager

JOB PURPOSE: Exercise overall control and supervision of all activities of the subsidiary company.

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Formulating and successfully implementing company policy;
2. Ensure that defined corporate objectives are pursued;
3. Directing strategy towards the profitable growth and operation of the company;
4. Developing strategic operating plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board;
5. Ensure that Company meets its corporate, statutory and fiscal obligations
6. Reporting to the Managing Director on regular basis;
7. Putting in place adequate operational planning and financial control systems;
8. Ensuring that the operating objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by the management and other employees;
9. Closely monitoring the operating and financial results against plans and budgets;
10. Taking remedial action where necessary and informing the Managing Director of significant changes;
11. Maintaining the operational performance of the company;
12. Assuming full accountability to the Managing Director for all company operations;
13. Representing the company to major customers and professional associations;
14. Building and maintaining an effective executive team;
15. Look for opportunities for the expansion of the organisation;
16. Perform other duties as required.

JOB SPECIFICATION


EDUCATION:  A Degree in Business administration, Economics, Marketing , MBA would be a big plus.

EXPERIENCE :
1. 10 - 12 years cognate experience in an FMCG sector
2. Strong FMCG Experience of atleast 10 years.
3. Success in a senior leadership role within a large scale environment (preferably in a pharmaceutical company).
4. Strong production, sales and distribution background.
